The quarantine tank is ours. The fish is yours.
We run a full quarantine on every fish we sell: prophylactic baths, thirty days in therapeutic copper with metronidazole, then two to four weeks of observation and praziquantel deworming. You skip the spare tank, the copper testing, and the six-week wait, and add a healthy, eating fish straight to your display.
30
Days in therapeutic copper
Full copper cycle for ich and velvet, then two to four weeks of observation on top.
2.2–2.3
ppm copper, Hanna-verified
Checked every morning. If the level drifts out of range, the clock restarts.

Fish listed before they eat
Every fish is taking prepared food before its listing goes up.

Cleared this week
Inventory turns over as fish finish the protocol. Every listing shows its clear date and what it's eating.
The protocol
Our quarantine protocol, followed to the letter
No shortcuts, no improvising — the same proven steps in the same order on every fish. Here's the short version; the full walkthrough, with doses, is on the process page.
DAY 0
Intake & baths
Acclimation, then a prophylactic bath before the fish enters a system: hydrogen peroxide or formalin to knock parasites off, methylene blue for any ammonia burn from shipping. Uronema-prone fish like chromis and anthias always get formalin.
DAYS 1–2
Into copper
Straight into 2.0 ppm Copper Power, raised to a therapeutic 2.2–2.3 ppm over the first 24–48 hours. Copper treats ich and velvet, the two parasites behind most tank wipeouts.
DAYS 2–30
Copper + metronidazole
Thirty days held at therapeutic copper, verified every morning with a Hanna checker — if it drifts out of range, the clock restarts. Metronidazole runs alongside it to cover Brooklynella and Uronema.
WEEKS 5–8
Observation & deworming
Copper comes out. The fish moves to a clean observation system for two to four weeks and is dewormed with praziquantel, dosed twice. This is where anything the copper masked has room to show itself.
CLEARED
Eating & ready
The fish is eating prepared food, symptom-free through observation, and listed with its clear date. Fish that show symptoms restart the stage they failed. Some are never listed.
